Village of Serrara

Serrara, tank to its strategic position, represents the main street of the municipality of Serrara Fontana. Situated in halfway between Mount Epomeo and the village of St. Angelo, 300m above the sea level, the village was used as refuge for the marine populations that, from Phoenicians to 1800, established on the island. Serrara offers an amazing panorama, from its famous belvedere, it is possible to admire the sea of the gulf on Naples, Capri and the Pontine islands, in addition to the splendid vistas along the coast of Ischia and on the territory below. Serrara is a peasant country and houses the municipal building.
